"Mending the World Through Fashion"

What Is House of Tikkun?

House of Tikkun is more than a store—it’s a movement. Our name draws from the Hebrew phrase tikkun olam, meaning “repair of the world.” We believe the world can be mended one stitch at a time—through acts of care, creativity, connection and commitment.

Born from a desire to create alternatives to the disposability of fast fashion, House of Tikkun celebrates the beauty of the handmade, the repurposed, and the reclaimed. We offer spaces where people can learn to alter or upcycle their garments, shop from a curated selection of consigned and secondhand treasures, and take part in workshops that restore both fabric and spirit. You can bring your own piece to repurpose with our supplies and workshop space, purchase a second hand item to customize, join in one of the regular design workshops, host your own party or celebration by creating sustainable fashion treasures with your friends and colleagues. We have the supplies, the equipment, an little bodega full of fun, friendly and healthy snacks and beverages, and the true desire to help you stitch your own fashion story. Come hang out, create community and reclaim what it means to be “chic”.

Through fashion, we tell stories. Through mending, we heal. And through community, we create a home.

Creating Together: A Shared Thread of Purpose

We believe creativity is a sacred act—and when shared, it becomes a revolutionary force. House of Tikkun is designed as a place where strangers become friends, where generations pass down skills, and where each garment tells a story of care. Through sewing circles, storytelling nights, workshops, and shared labor, we’re reimagining what it means to build community: one made of threads, hands, laughter, and shared intention.
